Weihenstephaner Berg 10, Freising
Food and beer were delicious. Air ventilation was bad. Service was slow. Nice place for one-time visit.
It was very, very tasty. A great ambience. The waiters were very friendly and very quick, and the food wasn't long in coming. Highly recommended 👍🏻
The food was good. Nothing special, but good. The 2 stars refer to the poor service and the staff there, who are either rude or disinterested. This was my second visit and again I did not come across a friendly face. One has the feeling that one is perceived as annoying if one asks after waiting 30 minutes to be allowed to order again: / Pity!
We were with you for dinner yesterday evening with 4 people, we received a very friendly welcome and were brought to our reserved table. The waiter was very friendly :) The food was very, very tasty, big compliments to the kitchen. When I asked the waitress very politely for some sauce, this lady was very unfriendly, only said sauce and brought it very quickly but slammed it on the table when walking past. We found this condition very unfriendly, and we were a bit annoyed. I have to say, I've never seen such unfriendly service. Hence a star deduction! But we will come back anyway because the food was excellent :)
Nice beer garden. Great location. The hygiene regulations were implemented here in an exemplary manner.
Great food. We were here with a group and the food came very quickly and for everyone almost at the same time. We liked it.
Fantastic Bavarian food and atmosphere. We came here for lunch and were very impressed with the quality of the food - both vegetarian and traditional meat dishes. There is a large beergarden, where we enjoyed our lunch in the sun. The waitress was very friendly too.
The food was great as always! Price / performance is absolutely right. Especially for vegetarians there is always something "different" like cheese spaetzle and cream mushrooms Keep it up!
Nice place to have a drink. The only discomfort is that they don't always accept cards.
A very small, cozy and well-tended beer garden with old trees. The quality of the food is very good, which is unfortunately increasingly rare in Bavaria. Can't understand the negative reviews. The Bräustüberl makes the most of this Corona-Tam-Tam. The only point of criticism: if you come by bike and have 27+ tires, you can't use the bike racks, but that's the only thing to complain about and that's not really worth mentioning. Can definitely recommend the beer garden.
Nice staff and bier is also good. Nice place but the food was not our taste.
Food, beer and service was great. Got here and they didn't have room but they had 1 table that was reserved for 2 hrs later so they let us eat there thry brought the food with 10 mins of ordering! Awesome service 💪👍
The food itself was delicious, but many of the waitresses weren't exactly friendly. Corona rules are hardly observed here. The mouth and nose protection is worn here under the nose. In addition, an extended family was seated right next to us (not a meter away) although tables would have been free until we left. That was completely incomprehensible to me. If you can't pay attention to the corona rules then it's not worth a visit for me either. In addition, one wonders how and whether the hygiene regulations are actually observed in the kitchen.
The food was good, but the waiter was in a very bad mood, we had to get our cutlery ourselves because there was no further response to the request. The waiters don't have a nice tone with each other either.
Awesome beer garden that offers tranquility away from the tourist crowds and an overwhelming view upon the Freising nature. Food is excellent and beer can’t get any better. Go for the Vitus Doppelbock.
The place, food and drink are actually very nice and good, but the wait staff and especially the boss are extremely unfriendly. In addition, the corona concept is completely illogical and you are told unfriendly that you are not allowed to change from the beer garden to any area during a thunderstorm, except for any cellar. This is not communicated anywhere, let alone simply described on signs. One day you can order in the beer garden café, and not more the next? Where is the logic or continuity? All in all, not a nice stay.
One of the best Bavarian restaurants. Their food is sooooo good
Waiter was extremely rude to our group. Would ignore us and not take our orders.
So I can't understand the negative reviews. If you are afraid of Corona, you should simply stay at home and not expect that the only person who comes up with the idea of going to the beer garden. Nevertheless, the corona rules were observed. Each guest should contribute to this through their own responsibility. Now to the service. The service was very friendly and came every 5-10 minutes to see if everything was going well. The food was awesome. Tasted great and for the money you get a fat portion!
And as usual in the "Gaststätten" at breweries in Germany, fine food in a pleasant atmosphere.
Locality lives only from the name. Very rude staff, long waits, cold food. Rarely had such a bad experience in the Bavarian brewery restaurant known for its openness. Only the beer tastes good - hence a star (unfortunately it cannot give 0)
Perfect place for a beer and schweinshaxe
I had a "Rostbraten" which is a Rumpsteak with fried onions, a speciality in the southern part of Germany. The meat was very good, cooked medium right on the spot. The side was french fries. Those were really super boring! There are so many good varieties of fries in the convenience food market, but they chose the most boring. So better go for potato salad or Spätzle! Trust me, that's better. They say that Weihenstephan is the world's oldest brewery, and the beers are really good. I had the Weißbier, a wheat beer. If you come on sunny sundays better give them a call and make a reservation, especially if you are more than 2 people. Looking forward to return in summer when beergarden-mood is at its best 😃
A great brewery with great food. No matter what we ordered, everything tasted great. The beers are very tasty and not expensive either. You should reserve in advance. The staff is very nice and very quick.
The oldest brewery in the world established 1040! The restaurant itself is newer, but it is definitely a place to experience the German beer culture. Claudia is amazing waitress making sure you will have a good time. Try out the Kellerbier and then test others and most likely you return back to Kellerbeer. The food is delicious Bavarian style and dish sizes are big! This place is only 20 minutes from the Munich airport so ideal stop on your way. Visit here if you look Bavarian style food and brewery restaurant atmosphere!
Nice atmosphere but very slow service
It's about 15 minute from the Munich airport. I had a 4-hour layover at the Munich airport, so I visited what is said to be the oldest continuing brewery in the world (though it's disputed). Whether true or not, the beer really was excellent. The service was also very friendly and excellent.
Mega
Brewery since 1040. Excellent beer and food. Brewer's Frying Pan recommended for ravenous visitors with price winning Vitus wheat beer.
It is traditional breweries beers factory.
Very good traditional food, queek services and professional staff.
Top Service
Amazing place and great beer

Great beer from the world's oldest brewery. Good food.
Delicious meal
One of my favorite places to visit in Germany. The best Weiss beer and good food too.
Friendly service with great beer and food.
Great place to enjoy great beer with amazing compliment food. Visited 2 years ago during summer time and it was a fantastic experience. Good service and average prices.
What can be said about the oldest brewery in the world. Drinks and food just what you would expect, traditional German bierhause food and the best wheat beers in the world.
Went here whilst on holiday in Germany really good brewery with a good selection of beers and authentic German cuisine I love the knuckle of Pork and the Crystal Wheat beer is my favorite beer really good place deffo worth visiting
Very nice place
Genuine
Excellent food. Pricey though
Great food and great beer in a great atmosphere at a great price. Wonderful place to spend a last night in Germany.
Delicious beer and wonderful service. They had the best pretzels we had in Germany and Austria. Make sure you take a few beers with you to go
Food is disturbingly wonderful. Good thing the brewery is on a mountain top. You can roll home!
One of my favorite spots that we visited during Oktoberfest. I’ve always been a fan of the Vitus and it didn’t disappoint!
Lovely tour and the food was great!
Nice typical Bavarian food, low price and nice beer!
